Faith Alvarez | Indianapolis Personal Injury & Employment Attorney

Attorney Faith Elizabeth Alvarez is the founder of Alvarez Legal, a woman-owned, bilingual (English and Spanish) law firm representing clients throughout Indiana in personal injury, wrongful death, employment discrimination, civil rights, and federal litigation. She has dedicated her career to standing up for individuals and families whose lives have been changed by serious injuries, unlawful employment practices, and government misconduct.

Attorney Alvarez regularly represents clients in cases involving car accidents, truck accidents, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, police misconduct, and constitutional violations. She also handles complex federal litigation, employment contract reviews, severance agreement negotiations, and civil and criminal appeals.

A Proven Federal Litigator

Attorney Alvarez has spent nearly her entire legal career litigating complex cases in federal court.

Before founding Alvarez Legal, she represented plaintiffs in federal employment and civil rights litigation for a respected Indianapolis law firm. Earlier in her career, she served as a Deputy Prosecutor in Marion County's Special Victims Unit and spent five years clerking for federal judges in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Working inside the federal judiciary gave her a unique understanding of how judges evaluate evidence, legal arguments, and trial strategy. This experience continues to benefit her clients today.

She brings that insight to every case, preparing each matter as though it will ultimately be decided in court.

Fighting for Employees, Injury Victims, and Families

Attorney Alvarez believes the legal system should protect ordinary people and not just large corporations, insurance companies, and government agencies.

Her practice focuses on helping clients who have experienced:

  • Employment discrimination
  • Wrongful termination
  • Pregnancy discrimination
  • Sexual harassment
  • Race, national origin, and disability discrimination
  • Workplace retaliation
  • Personal injury
  • Premises liability
  • Slip and fall accidents
  • Wrongful death
  • Car accidents
  • Truck accidents
  • Motorcycle accidents
  • Pedestrian and bicycle accidents
  • Police misconduct and civil rights violations
  • Appeals
  • Federal court litigation

Whether negotiating a settlement or presenting a case before a judge or jury, Attorney Alvarez is committed to pursuing the best possible outcome for every client.

Leadership in Indiana's Legal Community

Attorney Alvarez is an active leader within Indiana's legal profession and has devoted significant time to improving access to justice.

She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for the YMCA and serves on her local Board of Zoning Appeals. She is the former Chair of the Latino Affairs Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association, former board member of the Federal Community Defenders for the Southern District of Indiana, and previously chaired the planning committee for the Association's annual Hispanic Heritage Month program.

Attorney Alvarez is also a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, American Association for Justice, National Bar Association, Seventh Circuit Bar Association, Justice Bar Association of Indiana, and the Sagamore American Inn of Court.

During law school, she served as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing, a research assistant in Entertainment and Media Law, Marketing Director for the Valpo Law Blog, President of the Property Law Society, and was active in the Women's Law Student Association and the Bohemian Lawyers Association of Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from Bethel University.
